It would be nice if i could zooming with the mouse-wheel in the viewer-window.

You can do this already. Hold down Shift at the same time.

Please see the help topic for the Viewer and there go to the headline Navigation. It explains how to use the wheel to navigate.
Below that, under the headline Mouse Wheel Zooming the help topic explains how to zoom with the mouse wheel.
