Title: Help needed: using face annotations
Post by: ubacher on January 26, 2014, 12:18:00 AM
I am testing/trying/learning about face recognition/annotations.

I created face annotations externally (using Picasa).
The metadata panel shows that annotations. (Screenshot)
But how do I get this to show in the Viewer (Annotations panel)?
How do I get the face names to show as keywords?
(Settings in Metadata 2 are default i.e. enabled)

I then tried to add face annotation in IM to an image.
Here the question is:
What do I have to do to get the annotations recorded in the Metadata?
The keyword entered for the face name does show up under (Metadata) keywords.

Face XMP metadata is currently not linked with the "Face" type annotation. I explained that several times in older posts. The Face annotations currently available in IMatch are a place holder folder functionality planned for future releases.

Currently you can annotate faces manually with this annotation type and assign a tag/label. See the IMatch help for details.

Also, if you have imported MWG Regions, you can display them in Categories as a data-driven category. Add a new category under @All and specify the tag you want to show (I assume Region Name). See Help for more details.
