Title: Versions and Buddy Relations
Post by: robbo56gbr on May 12, 2025, 12:03:24 PM
i have already got my versioning relation set correctly . As an example my Master .CR3 file detects the same name .tiff, .jpeg and .afphoto which all exist in seperate subfolders, nested levels 2

However I now see that when i rename my master file, e.g newname.CR3, the version files do not change their name and hence the version relationship is lost.

Is the answer as simple as defining the same version relation inside a new buddy relation?

Yes. Buddy relations and version relations are intentionally separate. You can use both without using the other, or using both together.
