Personally I use the IMatch Import & Export tool to resize and export a copy of the image(s) I want to share on facebook or X. Works great for me and doesn't change the original at all.

And if you use WhatsApp in the browser, you can use drag & drop to upload the files to WA.

This is what I do but Imatch is so impressive that I thought there was a quicker way to do that ;-)
