Title: Metadata Panel Tag Filter using Repeatable Tags (eg. Keywords)
Post by: PandDLong on January 28, 2025, 06:01:03 AM

I have been trying to display a couple of metadata tags in a custom panel only when the file has a certain keyword.  I was using the operators 'Contains' and 'Contains Not' (I also tried Regular Expressions but I am not very good with those so I may have written it wrong).   I was having mixed results which seemed random.

Through further investigation, I am pretty sure that if the tag used for the filter is a repeatable tag, the filter expression only considers the first value not the entire list of values.  I was working with keywords and then tried Person in Image and Creator as tests with the same result.

Perhaps I can use a regular expression for this goal, or perhaps this is working as designed or perhaps not.

I remember from a past thread that this is a very rarely used feature in IMatch - I am one of the rare ones. I find it valuable to streamline my data entry and automatically remind myself of some my data standards.  It is one of those thoughtful features of IMatch that I am surprised doesn't get used more....

So, if this is an issue, I understand if it drops to the bottom of the priority list or even off the list entirely.

Awesome.  Much appreciated.

I look forward to getting the IMatch 2025.
