Title: Rotate and Transform
Post by: erichaas on December 28, 2023, 01:03:11 AM
I have been fixing some photos that have an incorrect orientation. If I right-click on a thumbnail, and select "Rotate and Transform" I get a submenu with several options. If, however, I am in the viewer, right-click, and select "Rotate and Transform", the submenu is missing the bottom two options: "Orientation (EXIF)" and "Lossless Rotate for JPEG files...".

This is correct. The menu is chock-full already and these are rarely used commands.
Camera and smart phone vendors these days have sorted out their sensors and the EXIF orientation added to files is usually correct. In the old days, rotating JPEG files to override missing EXIF orientation data or manually fixing the EXIF orientation was needed more often.

You can always reach these commands via Commands menu > Image, via the context menu in the File Window or via the Command Palette (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/command_palette.htm?dl=hid-1) (type in exif).
