Title: Caption Bar File Counts/Sizes
Post by: Darius1968 on June 08, 2023, 08:17:11 PM
Is it possible to have the Filter panel (when in auto-hide-mode) not interfere with the caption bar's display of the file counts and file sizes when it is open, by having the caption bar adjust positioning of text accordingly?  I could dock it somewhere else, but where it is now is most comfortable for my workflow

No. That's not how this works. The 3rd party UI toolkit floats the panels over all other windows until you dock them. The File Window does not know that it is partially overlapped by another window.

Maybe place the Filter Panel on the left side so it does not interfere with the counts in the File Window?

You can place panels on all four sides of the IMatch window or even position them outside the IMatch window or on a second monitor. Depends on your hardware and setup of course.

I know I could reposition the panel, but for my workflow, it works best here.  How hard would it be to have the category file counts disolsyed when Show only categories in scope is in play?

Basically, a rewrite of the 3rd party user interface library code that handles non-docked collapsed panels. Won't happen, sorry.

Dock the Filter Panel to the left or bottom or top?
Maybe get a second monitor or bigger monitor to have room for panels?
