Lots of new features, looks like a great update - and free for existing users. (Still working out how to use them )
Mario is very generous.
Thank you,
Aubrey.
Looks good. Like Aubrey, I'll need to work out how best to use them.
I think that many users will benefit from one, two or even most of the new enhancements.
It usually takes a couple of months until new features 'saturate' the user base. Not all users update immediately. Not all users read the release notes to learn what's new. Not all users try out new things immediately...
Nice new features, great polish, as we wish. Thanks!
Me too! What Aubrey said!!! Thanks for the new features, Mario!
another wonderful update! Thx Mario...
Thanks, Mario, for the "Today over the years" feature. I feel somewhat "guilty" - while I never really proposed to have it go to the core fuctionality. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

I liked the concept and my local test users also. So I've added it while creating the Favorite Bar and I think many users out there will find it cool.
Hm - not sure how it works though. I do have some images dated Jan 20, 2004 in my db, but they don't show up in Events... Am I missing something?
Check how many years you have configured for this feature.
By default, only the past 5 years are considered, which is why 2004 won't show.
Configuring the Timeline (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#events.htm#a_configure?dl=configure)
Note that there is a glitch (see https://www.photools.com/release-notes/) which causes the TotY to show untranslated texts when more than 10 years are configured.
I figured it out. I had the filter show only the last 5 years (found it in settings.
However, the heading of the year is rather peculiar.
Now I also saw your reply - you're faster than light.
Thanks for the update, Mario!
Indeed a lot of nice features. Unfortunately for the first time ever my AV Software killed the update. Where are the files downloaded, so that I can run the installation process again?
Run the Updater App again?
Was not aware of an Updater App and restarting imatch was no longer possible. So I download the complete installer again and it worked. But would like to know where the previous downloaded update is located to remove it.
How did you download the "previous update?" With the Update App? Then the download is in the user-specific TEMP folder on your system. Open %TEMP% in Windows Explorer.
The Update App shows the file name of the download before you can click the Install Update button:

Thx, run the automatic update, when IM notified about the update, but tbh, never took care about the location of the downloaded file. Was the first time that the update could not be completed due to the Av software.
Is there a way to run the updater without running IM?
No, it's an app relying on services provided by IMatch.
You can always download updates from the customer portal and when you subscribe to the Announcement board here in the community or my Facebook or Twitter, you'll get notifications directly on your phone when I release updates.
