can I change the name of the backup file without hesitation?

Pack & Go is a utility to quickly copy databases and settings between two computers.
You create the package, copy it to the other computer and then restore it.
Why would you need to rename the package file? It is short-lived and only needed during the transfer...?

After a longer break I would like to deal more intensively with IMatch again. Before I change my active database (IM 2020) completely I want to try out a lot. I have got used to make very often backups of the IM database and the media directories so that I can always quickly access previous states.

Therefore I would like to give the package files meaningful names. This makes it easier to reset to a certain point in the test procedure.

The name of the package file is irrelevant, you can name it as you wish (keep the extension though).

Tip: if you want to make experiments with your database, you can just make a copy of the database file (when IMatch is not running) using Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V in Windows Explorer.
