Like an earlier poster I receive a warning that I have lots (in my case 12,707) of unconfirmed faces that are affecting performance.
How can I fix this when the unconfirmed faces collection shows 0 image?
Thanks in advance
Steve
The message is a bit misleading and has been corrected for IMatch 2021.
It should read: There are currently n unassigned or unconfirmed faces.
It looks like many of the face annotations in your database have no person assigned.
You can find them via the People Filter in the Filter Panel (enable the Files with unassigned faces option).
Usually, the number of unassigned faces goes down quickly when you assign and confirm persons.
Unless these 12,000 faces don't look at all like any of the persons you have created. But that would also be quite rare? Not sure.
It also says that all files with unconfirmed faces can be viewed in the Unconfirmed Faces Collection, which shows 0 files. Is this a bug?
Unassigned is not the same as unconfirmed.
Where do Unassigned come into it?
The warning says 12k Unconfirmed, the collection of Unconfirmed Faces says 0.
All of the People have No Unconfirmed Faces, but at the bottom there are 7,109 Unknown Persons.
How can I reconcile these?

I think Mario answered your questions already in his first reply?
You might also have a look at the Filter by State (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#panel_filter.htm#a_people?dl=h-34) help topic.
See also Face States (https://www.photools.com/help/imatch/#people.htm?dl=h-51) in the help, which explains what unassigned, unconfirmed, rejected and confirmed faces are.
