Title: Strange text at the bottom of the viewer
Post by: Mees Dekker on March 24, 2021, 11:01:07 AM
Recently I noticed a different text when viewing a CR2 file in the viewer. My camera is definitely set to (Adobe RGB), but in the bottom line it says "sRGB". See attached screenshot. I never saw this before.

And secondly: this behaviour is not consistent all the time. Some (but not all) older files display a different line/text. See at the bottom of both screenshots.

Pictures were taken with the same camera (Canon 5DMk3).

Do you use a visual proxy perhaps?
Are your files processed by the WIC codec or LibRaw (Run a Help menu > Support > WIC diagnosis to learn more) and check your settings under Edit > Preferences > Application and search there for RAW.

The color profile info shown there comes from the special photools.com::IMatch\1700\iccprofilename tag (variable: {File.MD.photools.com::IMatch\1700\iccprofilename\0}) IMatch tries to fill from the best available color info for the image.

Entirely my fault. On importing these pictures (through Adobe Bridge)  I did not import all metadata but only a subset. Apparently not the color info and IMatch had to fill in the color profile itself. Import is changed, everything OK now.
