Title: Web Audio (weba) Files
Post by: Darius1968 on October 17, 2019, 10:14:47 AM
Considering the "File Formats" Tab, within Preferences:  There's the "Video/Audio File Formats" group, under which, the "WEBM" filetype is accounted for.  Related to that filetype, is "WEBA".  As is stands now, there appears not to be IMatch native support here.  Have I overlooked something, or need I explicitly add-in that filetype myself?  Thanks.

I have never heard about this file format before.
I assume its somehow related to WebP or WebI. Do you have a link to the standard or the RFC?

Maybe, this link gives some info:

I'm also attaching a text file, which is the result of the ECP listing all metadata.

That's a Matroshka container file with an OPUS audio stream.

Which standard is using the .weba file extension for this kind of container?
Why not the standard webm?

If this is a standard format I can add weba as a nother extension for multimedia files. Else, I don't know.
