Been my view for years.  We do our best to answer questions, but it seems you can't help but answer too.  Which is your prerogative.

Of course, if I ask a question, then that's different!   ;)

Yikes. Double Yikes! The left hand, and how it feels when playing is so important for proper intonation on the guitar (I play the guitar a bit). We guitar players actually judge bends by how much they hurt in the left hand :)

I know a famous player, though, who used such caps, because he lost a couple of his finger tips: Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)... ???
