 The Internet, and the ability to create content for it, is a very important requirement for image management systems today. IMatch contains various features that allow you to create HTML-based contents like Slide Shows, Contact Sheets and sophisticated presentations from your images.
In addition to the use on the Internet, the slide shows and galleries created with IMatch can also be used to publish your images on CD-ROM, to send images to your clients, friends, or family. No special viewer is required, a current browser is all that is needed to view the presentations.
 And since all this is HTML based, and hence "standard", you can enhance the output generated by IMatch in a multitude of ways. You can add sound files to use background music, or include movies in your presentations. Of course this requires some manual work and basic HTML skills, but you can create any layout or design you want.
The IMatch Photo Gallery Creator
This script allows you to create standalone HTML-based contact sheets, slide shows and presentations from your database. No special server is required, you can use the galleries with any web server or free web space provider.
The script is flexible and can be customized in various ways, without any knowledge of the IMatch scripting language. An intermediate knowledge of HTML is all you need to customize the existing templates to match your personal taste, web site look or corporate identity.
The photo gallery creator supports four basic page types:

This page type contains a single image and is used to create slide shows or detail views. |
| Contact Sheet |
This page type contains a grid of rows and columns. Each cell contains an image and optional textual information, links or other content. You can control how many images are displayed per page, the size of the thumbnails, the colors, fonts, ... |
| Navigation Page |
This page type is used to create navigation pages for slide shows or galleries with more than one page. It contains controls for "First Page", "Last Page", "Next" and "Previous". |
| Index Page |
This page type contains an index to your web gallery. It is either based on the current selection, using thumbnails for navigation, or it uses categories or IPTC keywords to allow a user to navigate through your gallery. |
 By combining these four page types via a web preset and HTML templates, you can create any design and layout you want. If you already have a web site, it is easy to match the design of that web site with a customized template.
Use IPTC, EXIF, Metadata
IMatch supports IPTC and EXIF information (including maker notes) in photo galleries.
By modifying the pre-built templates you can include any IPTC or EXIF field in your galleries.
All other meta data available in IMatch (properties, image attributes, application and user variables) can be used to add text and annotations to your photo galleries.
Let your users navigate your image collection
 You can create a navigation using IMatch categories or even IPTC keywords. This allows your uses to find images just by clicking on one of the topics or themes you provide in your navigation.
Customize your Web Pages
All pages types can be combined to create sophisticated presentations or galleries.
To customize any of the built-in gallery templates, you can modify the presets or the HTML templates that controls the look and feel of the pages. A manual explains how to create your own galleries and how to match the style of the galleries with your existing web page or corporate page.
No special scripting knowledge is required. A basic knowledge of HTML and some time is all you need to create your own gallery presets. You can exchange presets with other users.
Uploading
Galleries can be published to the Internet without any special software. Just copy the files of the gallery to your web site using whatever you use to upload new files to your Internet site.
 CD-ROM and Publishing
You can also copy the resulting files to a CD-ROM to publish your photo gallery to friends, your family or customers.
The only application needed to view such presentations or galleries is a normal Web Browser. No special tools are required.
Pre-built Web Galleries
IMatch contains a variety of pre-built web templates for a variety of purposes. Each of these stock templates can be customized, or be used as the basis for your own personal presets and templates.
